The arboretum represents an area extending on about 20 hectares, which connects to the lower part of the garden with a network of sidewalks and asphalt roads, which allow movement of pedestrians, young families with prams or handicapped visitors. Fixed benches and shelters offer rest and relaxation. A landscape-suitable alternation of forest and meadow communities brings additional benefit. The lower part is dominated by planting of alien tree species; the upper part consists of plantings mainly of native wood species that have historically protected the original eroded pasture from soil flushing and soil erosion.
