On 28-29 January 2025, Aurora Student Council members Simona Gibalová and Michaela Lukačínová attended the Aurora Student Conference held at Palacký University in Olomouc. The conference brought together the Student Council members and individual ambassadors from various universities within the Aurora Alliance, including institutions from France, the Slovak Republic, the Czech Republic, Austria, the Netherlands, Italy, Iceland, and Bulgaria. The aim of the event was to strengthen student engagement, deepen international cooperation and create space for joint educational and cultural activities.

The day before the official start of the conference, members of the Aurora Alliance Student Council participated in a full-day working meeting, during which they contributed to drafting the Student Rights Charter, a document outlining the fundamental rights of students within the Aurora Alliance. The charter focuses on promoting equal access for individual students, defining the rights of students to engage within the Aurora Alliance, and enhancing the accessibility of quality education and internationalization. As part of the conference, members of the Aurora Alliance Student Council organized a Peer Learning Workshop on mental health. The workshop included a discussion on challenges and support in this field, resulting in the sharing of good practices among students internationally.

Attending the conference was an exceptional opportunity for members of the Aurora Alliance Student Council to collaborate with many dedicated students from across Europe, to share experiences, and to contribute to the development of joint initiatives that can have a real impact on the Alliance’s future. The Aurora Student Conference 2025 at Palacký University in Olomouc confirmed the importance of actively involving students and enhancing their engagement in various processes to foster diversity and inclusion across the Aurora Alliance universities.
