Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice and the Faculty of Arts of UPJŠ, in cooperation with the Slovak-French Institute for University Cooperation and the Technical University of Košice, organized a fair titled FORUM 2025: Students – Businesses – Universities. The aim of the event was to provide a networking space for employers, students, and graduates of secondary and higher education. The program started on Wednesday, 19 March 2025, at 9.30 a.m. in the University Library of the Technical University with the official opening, during which H.E. Nicolas Suran, the Ambassador of France to the Slovak Republic; prof. MUDr. Daniel Pella, PhD., the Rector of UPJŠ and Ing. Peter Mésároš, PhD., the Rector of TUKE. The programme was accompanied by Radovan Gura, Director of the Slovak-French University Institute.
The opening of the event was followed by panel discussions on various interesting topics with an emphasis on current trends in the labour market, CV writing and the future potential of the French language. Participating employers had the unique opportunity to present their companies directly to the students. The last item on the agenda was a showcase of start-ups. At the event, UPJŠ presented its study programs and, above all, the possibilities of studying French at the Faculty of Arts at UPJŠ for high school students.
