In accordance with the Act on Higher Education Institutions, the UPJŠ Statute and the Principles of Elections to the Academic Senate of UPJŠ, as amended, and on the basis of Resolution No. 293 dated 15 December 2022, the Academic Senate of UPJŠ has announced elections to the Academic Senate of UPJŠ for the 2023 – 2027 term of office.
Elections to the Academic Senate of UPJŠ will take place at the Rectorate and University Departments on 28 February 2023
Rectorate of UPJŠ, Šrobárova 2, Historical Lecture Hall, 1st floor, from 8.00 to 10.00 and from 13.15 to 16.00.
UPJŠ Botanical Garden, Mánesova 23, Department of Original Flora and Documentation, women’s dressing room and study, room number SB1/122 from 10.15 to 11.15.
UPJŠ Student Halls of Residence, Medická 4, lounge from 11.30 to 13.00.
Nominations must be delivered in a sealed envelope to the registry of the Rectorate of UPJŠ with the address: Office of the Academic Senate of UPJŠ, Šrobárova 2, 041 80 Košice and marked “Nomination of a candidate for the position of a member of the AS of UPJŠ” for the Rectorate and university departments of UPJŠ. Nominations can be submitted by any member of the Academic Community of the Rectorate and university departments of UPJŠ. The candidate can also nominate himself/herself. Under Article 11(3) of the UPJŠ Statute in Košice, the Rectorate or University Department is represented in the AS of UPJŠ by 2 members of the academic community of the University in the staff section. The nomination must include:
(a) the first name, surname, titles, name of the faculty or other part of UPJŠ in which the nominated candidate is employed;
(b) the candidate’s position and job title;
(c) a written declaration by the candidate that he/she agrees to the candidacy;
(d) the first name, surname and signature of the nominator(s);
(e) the consent of the nominated candidate to the processing and disclosure of personal data.
Nominations will be accepted if they meet all the requirements in accordance with the Principles of Elections to the Academic Senate of UPJŠ and are delivered to the registry of the Rectorate of UPJŠ Šrobárova 2, 041 80 Košice
by 13 February 2023 at 14:00.
