On Thursday, 16 November 2023 at 10.00 am, in the large meeting room of the UPJŠ Rectorate in Košice, a meeting took place between selected students and the management of UPJŠ, Vice-Rector for Academic Qualifications and Doctoral Studies Prof. MVDr. Monika Halánová, PhD. representing the Rector, prof. MUDr. Daniel Pella, PhD., Vice-Rector for Undergraduate and Lifelong Learning JUDr. Ľudmila Elbert, PhD., University Associate Professor, and Prof. Mgr. Jaroslav Hofierka, PhD. responsible for the agenda of the Vice-Rector for the Quality of Education, upon the occasion of the Day of the Struggle for Freedom and Democracy.
Students were presented with awards from the Rector of the UPJŠ for exceptional study results and exemplary approach to study, for active participation in popularization and educational events, for excellent sports results, for excellent results and achievements in student competitions, for original preparation of their final thesis, for assistance with the organization of university and faculty open days, for representing the university and its faculties at various events, for active membership in various organizations and student associations. All the students winning awards significantly contributed to the development and dissemination of the good name of UPJŠ through their activities.
