Signing of the Agreement on Cooperation with the Charles University in Prague

    Rector of UPJŠ in Košice, prof. RNDr. Pavol Sovák, CSc., and the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, UPJŠ, prof. MUDr. Daniel Pella, PhD., officially visited Charles University in Prague on May 26, 2021. The culmination of the visit was the act of signing the Agreement on Scientific, Pedagogical and Cultural Cooperation between the Charles University and the UPJŠ. In the above-mentioned Agreement, both parties declare a common interest in intensified medical cooperation in the field of scientific research and pedagogy, including the implementation of part of teaching, as well as cooperation in the field of treatment and prevention in the international context and implementation of complementary activities. Both representatives of UPJŠ were also hosted by the Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic – Mgr. Radek Vondráček. In a friendly discussion, they focused on the subject of cooperation between the Charles University and the UPJŠ, and the Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies praised the cooperation in the joint education of future doctors. As a lawyer, he was also actively interested in the tradition of educating lawyers at the UPJŠ Faculty of Law. During the business trip, there was an opportunity for a meeting of the rectors of Charles University, UPJŠ and the dean of Faculty of Medicine of UPJŠ with the chairman of the National Accreditation Office of the Czech Republic JUDr. Ivan Barančík, PhD. The subject of the meeting was the exchange of experience with the implementation of the Internal Quality System.
