A total of 19 teams and 65 individuals from the University of Pavol Jozef Šafárik in Košice (UPJŠ) took part in the 2023 BtW challenge. In total, UPJŠ employees travelled almost 6,982 kilometers by alternative transport. UPJŠ thus saved 1,613 kg of CO2 in the month of June.

Rector Pavol Sovák thanked the university employees for years of their work together.

10 years have passed since the establishment of the University Counselling Centre (UNIPOC) of the Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice (UPJŠ). On the occasion of this anniversary, a conference of university counsellors was held on 28 June 2023 at the premises of the UPJŠ Rector's Office at Šrobárová 2 in Košice.

Since 1.6.2023 UPJŠ has activated Campus-Wide Suite license for MATLAB. By using the Campus-Wide Suite license, UPJS joins the family of top world universities such as MIT or ETH, which are part of the global MATLAB community.
