Since 1.6.2023 UPJŠ has activated Campus-Wide Suite license for MATLAB. By using the Campus-Wide Suite license, UPJS joins the family of top world universities such as MIT or ETH, which are part of the global MATLAB community.

The President of the Slovak Republic, Zuzana Čaputová, appointed the following rectors of universities on 13 June 2023 at 3 p.m. in the Presidential Palace in Bratislava.

On 19 May 2023, Rector Sovák in the presence of Dean of UPJŠ Faculty of Science, assoc. prof. Roman Soták, handed over the appointment decree to the awarded professors and thanked them for their contribution in scientific and educational activities.

Rector of UPJŠ in Košice, professor Pavol Sovák, welcomed H.E. Catherine Flumiani, Ambassador of the Italian Republic in Slovakia, at the university premises on 17 May 2023.
