Rector Pavol Sovák thanked the university employees for years of their work together.

10 years have passed since the establishment of the University Counselling Centre (UNIPOC) of the Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice (UPJŠ). On the occasion of this anniversary, a conference of university counsellors was held on 28 June 2023 at the premises of the UPJŠ Rector's Office at Šrobárová 2 in Košice.

Since 1.6.2023 UPJŠ has activated Campus-Wide Suite license for MATLAB. By using the Campus-Wide Suite license, UPJS joins the family of top world universities such as MIT or ETH, which are part of the global MATLAB community.

The President of the Slovak Republic, Zuzana Čaputová, appointed the following rectors of universities on 13 June 2023 at 3 p.m. in the Presidential Palace in Bratislava.

On 19 May 2023, Rector Sovák in the presence of Dean of UPJŠ Faculty of Science, assoc. prof. Roman Soták, handed over the appointment decree to the awarded professors and thanked them for their contribution in scientific and educational activities.
