Rector of the Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice, Professor Daniel Pella, met with the Mayor of Košice, Jaroslav Polaček, on Thursday, January 25, 2024, in the Historical Town Hall on Hlavná Street in Košice. The aim of the New Year’s reception of the rectors of the four universities in Košice was to establish closer cooperation between the city and the educational institutions.
Mayor Polaček said that Košice is an attractive agglomeration, and the universities are an important part of it. The UPJŠ Rector Pella replied that the senior management of the Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice is in favour of new opportunities for cooperation which could bring benefits for our students and employees.
