On Tuesday, 9 July 2024, Dr. Uzzet Aimbetov, D.Sc., geologist of the Karakalpak Scientific Research Institute of Natural Sciences of the Karakalpak Platform of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan and his wife were received by the Vice-Rector for International Relations, professor Slávka Tomaščíková. The Uzbek guests were accompanied by assoc. professor Martin Kundrát who established cooperation with Dr. Aimbetov within the Slovak-Uzbek dinosaur expedition.
The guests then visited the Centre of Interdisciplinary Biosciences of the Technological Innovation Park (TIP) of UPJŠ led by assoc. professor Kundrát, who together with his colleague Dávid Nemčík demonstrated the imaging technique used for research in the Laboratory of Integrative Paleobiology (INPAL). Dr. Uzzet Aimbetov was informed about the progress of the processing of findings from the recent, fourth Slovak-Uzbek dinosaur expedition held in April this year.
