On 17 February 2023, the UPJŠ Rector, prof. Pavol Sovák, CSc., welcomed Dr. Csaba Balogh, Ambassador of the Republic of Hungary to Slovakia.
The meeting was also attended by the UPJŠ Vice-Rector for Higher Education, Academic Traditions and Ceremonies, prof. PaedDr. Martin Pekár, PhD., Consul General of Hungary in Košice, Dr. Ágota Hetey, Consul of Hungary in Košice, Gyöngyi Kanyár and interpreter Andrea Gablyasz.
The subject of the meeting was the cooperation between UPJŠ and the Hungarian partner universities, the University of Miskolc (Miskolc Egyetem) and the ELTE University in Budapest (Eötvös Loránd Tudományegyetem), as well as the international cooperation of the two countries.
UPJŠ Rector, professor Pavol Sovák, highlighted the good relations and cooperation with the Consulate General of Hungary in Košice. The Ambassador of the Republic of Hungary in Slovakia, Dr. Balogh, expressed his willingness to support the UPJŠ activities directed towards further development within the framework of the continuation of the University’s cooperation with Hungary and partner universities in Hungary and the strengthening of mutual ties.
