Attaché of the French Embassy in Slovakia lectured at UPJŠ

Vice-Rector for International Relations, Prof. Slávka Tomaščíková, PhD., received a delegation from the Embassy of the French Republic in Slovakia on Monday 18 November 2024 at the Rectorate of the Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice. The Attaché for Scientific and University Cooperation, Thomas Perrin, and Martina Saganová, University and Scientific Exchange Officer, visited our university to discuss the possibilities of expanding existing cooperation.

Following the reception and a joint meeting at the Rectorate, the attaché Thomas Perrin gave a lecture on Lille – European Capital of Culture 2004, Cultural Development Project of the Territory. The lecture for UPJŠ students with the participation of the Dean of the UPJŠ Faculty of Arts, Prof. Renáta Panocová, PhD., took place in the Platón building of the UPJŠ Faculty of Arts. Simultaneous interpretation from French to Slovak was provided for the participants by students of interpreting and translation from the Department of English and American Studies at the UPJŠ Faculty of Arts. The afternoon programme continued with a lecture by Martina Saganová on scholarships provided by the French government.
