During November and December 2024, UPJŠ will be collecting wax and unburnt candles for Ukraine.
The leftover material will be used to make special candles that will help in areas of Ukraine without electricity as a source of heat and light, as well as to heat food and water.
Collection points:
Entrance hall of the UPJŠ Rectorate building on Šrobárová 2 in Košice
Socrates Building, ground floor in front of the entrance to the canteen, UPJŠ Faculty of Arts at Moyzesova 9 in Košice
You can contribute to the collection with leftover wax, unburnt or new candles and tea lights. The collection is primarily intended for students and employees of UPJŠ. If interested, the public can also participate during weekdays from 8 am to 4 pm.
