The largest European conference and exhibition of the European Association for International Education EAIE 2024, the 34th edition of which was held from 17 to 20 September 2024 in Toulouse, France, welcomed more than 7000 participants from over 90 countries around the world.
On behalf of Slovakia, 35 representatives from 16 public universities attended the conference, including Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice. It was part of the Slovak national stand, which was provided for the universities by the Ministry of Education, Research, Development and Youth of the Slovak Republic, and was represented by the staff of the Department for Foreign Relations of UPJŠ in Košice. Róbert Zsembera, State Secretary for Higher Education and Academic Research of the Ministry of Education, Research, Development and Youth of the Slovak Republic, and Marcel Vysocký, Director General of the Higher Education Section of the Ministry of Education, Research, Development and Youth of the Slovak Republic, also participated in the important event.
The main themes of the EAIE 2024 conference were internationalisation of education, inclusion and global partnerships. Through dozens of meetings and networking activities, UPJŠ gained a lot of contacts and offers for interesting cooperation around the world, which will strengthen the internationalisation and further development of our university’s international relations.
