The Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice is ranked 851st – 900th in the prestigious global QS World University Ranking 2025. Within Slovakia, UPJŠ took the second place out of six Slovak universities that were included in the ranking. The QS World University Ranking 2025 included 1,500 universities from all over the world, with more than 5,600 universities applying for inclusion. Three new indicators have been added to the ranking of educational institutions: sustainability, employment performance and international scientific network.
