On March 4-8, 2024, an international conference and exhibition organized by APAIE (Asia-Pacific Association for International Education) was held in Perth, Australia, where our representatives successfully presented studies, science and student life at the Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice. UPJŠ was represented at the event by the Vice-Rector for International Relations, Dr. h. c. prof. Mgr. Slávka Tomaščíková, PhD., and assistant professor from the Department of English and American Studies, Faculty of Arts, Mgr. Július Rozenfeld PhD.
The 17th APAIE PERTH AUSTRALIA Conference and Exhibition organised by five Western Australian universities (Curtin University, The University of Western Australia, Murdoch University, The University of Notre Dame Australia and Edith Cowan University) was attended by more than 2,500 delegates presenting higher education study opportunities around the world. The event was an excellent opportunity for networking and bilateral meetings with partners, and UPJŠ representatives had arranged dozens of meetings opening up new partnerships and opportunities.
According to the words of the Vice-Rector Tomaščíková, there was a great interest in information concerning the quality of teaching, research and student life at the University of Pavol Jozef Šafárik in Košice. Our representatives significantly contributed to the promotion of Košice as a metropolis of Eastern Slovakia, where it is worth studying and living.
