The 12th Representative Ball of the University of Pavol Jozef Šafárik in Košice was held on February 9, 2024, in the beautiful premises of the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Košice.
The atmosphere of the ball was truly exceptional, full of elegance, dancing and exclusive gastronomic experience. The guests were welcomed by the Rector of UPJŠ, Professor Daniel Pella, and Vice-Rector for Academic Qualifications and PhD. Studies, Professor Monika Halánová. The Ball was officially opened with the striking sound of the gong and the following dance round, which was started by professional dancers of TC Meteor, Karmen Pál-Baláž, Folk music Čardáš from Abov and the musical group Radical. The main guest of the evening was the Peter Bič Project. The Ball was emceed by Junior and Marcel, who entertained the guests during the evening. The highlight of the program was the raffle, which inherently belongs to the ball fun. After 14 prizes found their happy owners, the evening continued to the rhythm of well-known dance tunes.
“I express my sincere gratitude to all the guests who accepted the invitation and attended the Ball. I hope they enjoyed the evening and I look forward to meeting them again during this special occasion in 2025,” said Rector Pella.
