A memorandum of understanding was concluded by Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice (UPJŠ) with VISSIM s.r.o. at the university on 3 October 2023.
The meeting on the occasion of the signing of the memorandum was attended by the Rector of UPJŠ in Košice, prof. MUDr. Daniel Pella, PhD. on behalf of UPJŠ, and on behalf of the Faculty of Science at UPJŠ by prof. RNDr. Gabriel Semanišin, PhD. From Vissim, Bjørnar Aas, Chief Product Officer at Vissim, Marián Kušnír, Head of Vissim’s Košice branch (Global R&D Director at Vissim) and Ivan Radvák, Head of the R&D Centre at Vissim, visited our university.
This memorandum of understanding includes objectives such as creating an effective and sustainable platform for cooperation in the areas of data analytics and mathematical optimization, staffing and promotion of the Data Analysis and Artificial Intelligence programme. The cooperation of both parties involved is to be institutionalised by the establishment of a joint research laboratory.
