“RACE TO ZERO”
On 9.8.2021, the university officially signed up to a commitment to permanently reduce its carbon footprint. On 19.8.2021, EAUC (The Environmental Association for Universities and Colleges), on behalf of the Race to Zero campaign for universities and colleges, confirmed our application with the definition:

- PLANS – explain, within 12 months of accession, what measures will be taken to achieve temporary and long-term commitments, in particular in the short to medium term.
- PROCESSES to take immediate action towards achieving (net) zero in accordance with meeting the set interim targets.
- DISCLOSURES – Commit to the University to report publicly at least once a year on the progress made in relation to the interim and long-term objectives, and also the measures being taken.
